Anyone who has ever marveled over Katherine Dewey’s amazing creations has wondered, "How did she do that?" In Creating Lifelike Figures in Polymer Clay, the renowned artist reveals exactly how she makes her incredible human figures and fantasy characters--and how polymer-clay crafters everywhere can do the same. With more than 400 step-by-step photographs in full color plus 200 detailed drawings, Dewey teaches how to sculpt realistic figures in any scale using her simple appliqué approach. She covers the entire process: selecting clay, making modeling tools, proportioning figures, posing, ethnic and gender subtleties, facial expressions, costumes in clay, and finishing touches. Summary: not fair to give a bad review because it is a duplicate
Comment: I just don't think it's fair to give this book a one star rating. It's a fine book!!! Info on diff. clays and tools, plus lots of illustrations and directions.

Summary: Truly disappointed
Comment: This book is almost an exact duplication of her 2003 book published by Elvenworks Publications. I already had the Elvenwork book and I thought after five years this "new" Watson-Guptil publication would have something new and improved. It was nothing of the kind. I felt no need to have two books virtually the same so I returned the "newest" duplicate version. I was truly disappointed.
